This was a nice episode. Anyways, I've been drawing without a bite in me, so I can't think of anything pithy. But... I suppose my hunger speaks. My, what powerful creatures these two could become in time.
I thought the episode was heavily centred around peer pressure. A good episode with a nice message. Now then to the art work above.
Something about it is different than your other art. I'm not entirely certian but did you use a different shading method?
Also one minor thing. Something about his face seems kinda off. Well off is a strong word. It's really just the style you've done it in so it's not bad or anything. No what I mean is his face looks like that of a younger spike is all.
that's what I'm hoping they did after the migration was over but after watching the episode again i noticed the family (parents and hatch lings) all fly off together so not likely they'd return. atleast he can ask celestia for advice on raising a phoenix
That is something I had wondered about myself. On one hand, the egg probably had the greatest chance of survival as far away from those thuggish dragons as possible; however, the parents had no way of telling the fate of it, as far as I can tell. That would have to be heartrending. Hopefully parents and child will meet in the future; with their longevity, I don't think it's so unlikely.
Tangentially, I wish we had learned the story behind Spike's egg, but perhaps that will come later on.
yeah after watching it the 2nd time and seeing the family fly off chances are had he left it it be destroyed and thus a greater tragedy. one can only hope that the hatch ling will make it back to his family someday. its a bit sad to think it have to suffer the same uncertainty as spike about where it came from. and yeah it was a let down we didn't find out anything at all about spikes past. what i wanted to know was why he can send letters and receive em but other dragons don't do that. i mean is he special like a certain species that can or is it just the old because its magic thing?
